I read a lot of comics, but mostly indy stuff I find on the web. One in particular that I've found is an American manga called Misfile — it's about a confusing situation that involves angels, mixed up genders, and other odd things, but one central theme to the story is the fact that the star is a backroads racer who drives an XR4Ti. The racing is regularly a key part of the story, and there are several oppo cars that take center stage.
The comic is updated daily with over 10 years of archives to read through, so if you're in for some comic reading, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It does have some adult themes, but I'd consider it PG-13.

But if you really want adult themes:

I read like two of the first comics, and I had to stop. Just..... too much. That is all.

All I read is XKCD and Questionable Content, and occasionally PhD Comics.

I also read manga - Kuroshitsuji is one I regularly follow.

Oh oglaf... The minotaur one still slays me to this day... The, uh, misfile fanfic is, um, decidedly more than PG13 BTW. Yes. I do know this first hand. Don't judge me.

I currently only follow Dumbing of Age. (and Homestuck, but who knows when the next update will be...)

If you like SMBC and Buttersafe, try Channelate. I'd rank it somewhere between those two in terms of quirkiness. Definitely one of my favorites.

This is so good, thanks

I draw a webcomic myself, called Beach City Crusaders . I won't even TRY to explain it, but I sure have a lot of fun making it.
It's officically on Blogspot , but I've started to use a Tumblr for it, because I really, really like Tumblr.
(Click the respective medium's name to get the webcomic delivered in that respective medium.)
(Trust me, the writing gets better. I started to use actual SCRIPTS circa chapter 2, so that removed the redundancies and stuff. The better-written stuff is already live on Blogspot and is queued up on Tumblr.)

Yeah, that's a little beyond my taste. I tolerate the adult themes — but the best comics don't have them at all. I follow a couple hundred webcomics, and most of them don't have that stuff at all. Misfile just happens to be the most gearhead-friendly lol. I prefer longform comics over gag-a-week, but do read a few like xkcd or Invisible Bread .
A few examples would be:

http://chuntost.tidalcomics.com/

And that's just the first 10 in my feed. I actively read at least 200 comics.

Not sure why, but I just 'don't get' polandball. Don't judge me, I think I just have something wrong with my sense of humor lol. I find xkcd to be hilarious, though.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that one; it looks interesting. I'll have to add it to my feed. Homestuck just never really 'got' me. I read a bit of it and stopped about the time the missiles started falling. I have it bookmarked and will probably go back and continue it, but it just didn't captivate me.

Cool, I'll have to check it out! I've created a comic as well, but haven't posted any of it online yet. I've got about half of the first chapter inked, but life got busy, so it kind of fell by the way side. I've got the first several chapters completely written, though, so eventually I have every intention of finishing it; I just need to find the time lol.

Yeah, it is time-consuming as hell!

I regularly check Sinfest , Misfile and El Goonish Shive , in that order.
I did really like the racing arcs when I binge-read Misfile last December, but I'm beginning to lose interest in the comic on account of how the racing (which has cars, duh) and whatever's amiss in heaven (which comes across as pretty damn important in the workings of that universe) haven't gotten much attention lately AFAIK.

Yeah, lately it's been more about romance and relationships. Hopefully it swings back around to the important stuff soon. lol. The others you mentioned have talented art, but for some reason I've just never gotten into them. I read a lot of EGS, but the plot was hard to follow, and in the old strips, all the characters look the same (which further makes the plot hard to follow lol).

Agreed

Sinfest is a relatively new interest of mine - I haven't read most of it.
The EGS universe is kind of complicated as far as alien tech/magic is concerned, and the comic is text-intensive in the early strips. Shive's art style has made some pretty significant improvements, though, and so has the pacing IMO.

Dammit. The last thing I needed was more webcomics to read. Curse you, sir.
Also, in exchange (in case these aren't among your 200)

Haha thanks! I read Supernormal Step (in fact, it's #11 on my list), and Girl Genius is in my "to read" list, but I wasn't aware of the others.

You need someone to force you through the first part of Homestuck, really. I only read it because my ex loved it and kept insisting that it was about to get good. Then it got really, really, really good all of a sudden, and I don't quite remember when.
